Has Glasgow Rangers loanee Dalcio given himself a lifeline at Ibrox?

Rangers’ embarrassing defeat to Progres Niederkorn in the Europa League was not just damaging for manager Pedro Caixinha.
New signing Dalcio was one of the worst players on the pitch and his Rangers career has never recovered.
The winger signed in Glasgow on loan from Benfica, where he was with the Portuguese club’s B side.

Last night he may have thrown himself a lifeline with a performance in a friendly testimonial game for Steven Notman against Berwick Rangers.
So the opposition was not the highest standard, nor the intensity of the game what he will face in the Premiership, but Dalcio acquitted himself well.
Rangers won the game 4-0, with David Bates, Aaron Nemane, Jordan Thompson and Serge Atakayi scoring, but it was Dalcio who forced the opener.
Dalcio played an hour before being substituted, in a satisfactory night for a young Rangers side.
The 21-year-old has played only one minute of first team action since the Niederkorn game.
Last night provided a little bit of encouragement that all is not lost for him, and will boost his confidence.
Here is a look at how Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to his impact…
