Hill is on the verge of joining the Gers, reports claims
Much to the delight of Celtic fans, Rangers are set to sign veteran defender Clint Hill as a player coach, the Daily Record reported on Wednesday.
The Gers’ need for a new centre-half (or two) is fairly evident, with only Rob Kiernan and Danny Wilson staying on from last season, and recent links to Steven Taylor, who is also said to be interesting Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers, were fairly well received.
Taylor is reportedly on both clubs’ shortlist
But at 37 years old, and recently released by a team in England’s second tier, the Hill speculation has, in contrast, raised eyebrows in the blue half of Glasgow – and smiles in the green.
Known as Mr Queens Park Rangers following six years at Loftus Road – half of which were spent in the top flight of English football – surely Hill is not the worst signing the Light Blues could make this summer.
