Rangers have secured Cammy Palmer’s Ibrox contract.

Rangers may be on the verge of a couple more signings, but they’re also taking steps to keep youngsters at Ibrox.
The Gers have made five signings this summer, and The Scottish Sun claim that deals for defender George Edmundson and midfielder Joe Aribo.
Steven Gerrard will hope to get those signings tied up soon, before pushing ahead with a move to bring Ryan Kent back to Ibrox too.
Today though, Rangers confirmed that young midfielder Cammy Palmer has signed a one-year extension, meaning he’s staying until 2021.
Palmer, 19. has been captaining Rangers’ reserve team, and was given a first-team chance in the January friendly against HJK Helsinki having impressed Steven Gerrard.
Palmer was even spotted in first-team training at times last season, and having signed a new deal, he’ll now be aiming for some playing time in the coming years.

Some Rangers fans are delighted with the move, backing the reserve team skipper to become a future Rangers captain, but others are majorly concerned by the fact that it’s just a one-year extension, as they wanted to see him given an even longer deal.
Others have called for Rangers to sort out a deal for 17-year-old winger Josh McPake, amid repeated claims from the Daily Record that Liverpool and Roma are interested in signing him this summer.
