Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers moved into the semi-final of the Scottish Cup today.

Rangers thumped Falkirk 4-1 at Ibrox to move into the semi-final of the Scottish Cup this evening.
Jason Cummings bagged himself a hat-trick for what was a rip-roaring win for the Gers, despite Graeme Murty naming an under-strength back five.
Jak Alnwick replaced Wes Foderingham in goal, while midfield Andy Halliday continued to deputise for left-backs Lee Wallace and Declan John, and Bruno Alves was given a first start in over two months.

And suffice to say that plenty of fans of the Ibrox club weren’t hugely impressed by the veteran Portugal international on his return to the first XI.
The 36-year-old had a rocky game in central defence and looked like a player who hadn’t played since December, and Rangers supporters have given him a bit of stick on Twitter.
Alves has 94 caps for Portugal and that experience doesn’t lie, but the big man will do well to keep his place when Celtic visit Ibrox in seven days.
The former Zenit and Fenerbahce stalwart replaced Russell Martin, but surely the on-loan Norwich City man will return to the first XI next week. Martin is by no means a top-drawer centre-back, but on the evidence of today it’ll take Alves a little while to get back to his best – if he ever does.
