Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers signing Pedro Caixinha played against Marseille at Ibrox on Saturday.

Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Bruno Alves against Marseille this weekend.

Alves featured for Scottish Premiership giants Rangers in the pre-season friendly match against Ligue 1 outfit Marseille at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

The Portugal international central defender started the game and played for 57 minutes, as the Gers played out a 1-1 draw with the French club.

Valere Germain put Marseille in the lead at Ibrox, but Niko Kranjcar levelled the score with a free kick 15 minutes from full time.

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of 35-year-old centre-back Alves, who joined Pedro Caixinha’s side earlier in the summer transfer window on a free following his departure from Italian club Cagliari at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Rangers finished third in the Scottish Premiership last season, and the Gers will be determined to close the gap on Old Firm rivals Celtic in 2017-18.

The Gers have made a number of signings so far this summer, and the Ibrox faithful will hope that the team start the 2017-18 campaign strongly.
