Some Glasgow Rangers fans have suggested Steven Gerrard should look to bring Aaron Hickey to Ibrox.

A number of Rangers fans took to Twitter during Saturday’s Scottish Cup final to suggest that Steven Gerrard should make a move for Aaron Hickey after the 16-year-old’s outstanding display at Hampden Park.
Hearts are coming to terms with cup final agony as they suffered a 2-1 defeat having taken the lead and been the better side for much of the game. And perhaps one of the reasons for Celtic’s struggles was James Forrest’s inability to stamp his authority on the game.
Forrest may have expected to have everything go his own way as he lined up against the 16-year-old, who was making only his third senior appearance and only his second professional start.

For Rangers, left-back may be a position that Steven Gerrard may want to strengthen this summer. Borna Barisic had a tough first year at Ibrox, and neither Jon Flanagan or Andy Halliday are naturals in that position – though they have impressed at various points during the campaign.
And some of the supporters on social media have suggested that the club should take a look at Hickey this summer. He appears to have a frightening amount of potential, and the fans were certainly impressed by his cup final display.

Here is how some of the Rangers supporters reacted to his performance…
