Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter following a report from the Daily Record that suggested that Pedro Caixinha was planning to oversee a mass clear-out of his squad this summer.
The Record reports that the Gers boss has set an asking price for a number of players and informed some clubs of those prices in the hope of shifting several of the players off the books.
Barrie McKay is one of the players reportedly set to be allowed to leave
The Record suggests that Barrie McKay, James Tavernier, Martyn Waghorn, Joe Garner, Josh Windass, Matt Crooks, Harry Forrester and Rob Kiernan will be allowed to leave, while Michael O’Halloran may be used as part of the deal that may see Louis Moult arrive at Ibrox from Motherwell.
Each player’s asking price varies, with the Record reporting that McKay could be the most expensive player on the list with a £2 million asking price, while Windass and McKay are reportedly set to command fees of just £150,000, according to the Record.

Unsurprisingly, the report has prompted a significant amount of debate on social media, with supporters struggling to agree on which players the club should keep and whether some names within the squad are lucky not to be included on Caixinha’s list.
McKay appears to be the player that has received the most backing from the fans, while the potential sales of Windass and Tavernier have also attracted some criticism.
However – and perhaps unsurprisingly, given the season Rangers have endured in the Scottish Premiership – many of the fans appear to be in favour of the majority of the listed players being allowed to leave this summer, and some even feel that others should be following them out the door.
