Glasgow Rangers have announced that Josh Windass has completed a move away from Ibrox.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that the club confirmed on their official website on Thursday that Josh Windass has left the Gers after two years at Ibrox.
There has been much speculation about the attacking midfielder’s future throughout the summer, but the rumours seemed to ramp up a few levels in the final days of the English transfer window.
And it has now been confirmed by the club that Windass has swapped Rangers for Championship newbies Wigan Athletic. STV reported ahead of the deal being confirmed that the Latics will pay an initial £2.5 million plus add-ons for the 24-year-old.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the news has received a mixed reaction from the Rangers fans. There are plenty who are extremely disappointed to see Windass leave off the back of a campaign where he scored 18 goals in all competitions and finished the season as the joint top goalscorer.

Several supporters have suggested that it is a major mistake to let him go for the fee that Wigan have reportedly paid. His form has not always been the most impressive, but he is clearly a quality player and replacing him is going to be a tough task for Steven Gerrard in the remaining weeks of the window.
However, some have suggested that Rangers have made the right move getting rid of Windass. The playmaker seemed to completely divide opinion while he was playing for the Gers, and it is safe to say that he has divided the supporters now that he has left for Wigan.
