Glasgow Rangers have received a huge boost ahead of Sunday’s Old Firm game at Ibrox.

Rangers fans have been rejoicing on Twitter after the club uploaded its training gallery ahead of Sunday’s Old Firm game, and amongst those training with Graeme Murty’s first-team was Graham Dorrans.
Dorrans has not played for the Gers since limping off during the early stages of the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock back in October due to an ankle injury that then required surgery in December.

The Scottish Sun reported at the time that Dorrans had to undergo an operation that was set to keep him out for three months, and while it will surely be too soon to expect the 30-year-old to come back into the side for Celtic’s visit this weekend, it is undoubtedly a huge boost for the Gers to have the midfielder closing in on full fitness.
Dorrans’ form was one of the few positives to emerge from the final months of Caixinha’s tenure as he scored five goals in his first 10 Scottish Premiership games for the club following his £750,000 summer move from Norwich City.

Unsurprisingly, the fans are delighted about the news that the Scotland international is back in the fold, with many expressing their hope that he may be available for Murty in the very near future.
Rangers’ midfield have been excellent lately, but Dorrans’ ability to play anywhere in the middle of the park provides a huge boost as it will push the likes of Sean Goss and Greg Docherty in the centre and even someone like Josh Windass, who has been lethal in that attacking midfield role.
Here is what the Rangers fans made of the photos the club uploaded which showed Dorrans in training…
