Glasgow Rangers have confirmed that they have brought Connor Goldson to Ibrox on a four-year deal.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to praise the club after the Gers confirmed on their official website that they have completed the signing of Connor Goldson who moves to Ibrox on a four-year deal from Brighton.
Steven Gerrard has wasted little time overseeing major changes to his Light Blues squad, with Goldson the sixth new signing this summer, following Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield, Jamie Murphy, Ovie Ejaria and yesterday’s addition Nikola Katic.

The club have confirmed that the 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal after the Gers agreed terms with the Premier League side, and he will be hoping that he can help the Light Blues keep a much better defensive record than the one they had this past season.
News of his arrival has certainly delighted the Gers supporters on social media. Goldson may have struggled for game-time at Brighton, but he was the understudy to one of the league’s most stable and consistent partnerships in Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk so there was no shame in the amount of game-time he enjoyed following the Seagulls’ promotion.

And the feeling amongst the fans appears to be one of excitement. Both Katic and Goldson are young, highly-rated options who should get better in the coming years with greater game-time alongside each other at the heart of the defence.
Goldson’s arrival has added to the excitement ahead of the new season, and with a couple of months left to make further additions, there is plenty of optimism that there is definitely more to come from Rangers this summer.
Here is the best of the reaction…
