The young Rangers defender will spend the foreseeable future away from Ibrox after his exit was sanctioned by Graeme Murty.

Rangers fans are reacting on Twitter to news of Aidan Wilson’s Ibrox departure on Friday.
The young centre-back has joined Championship side Dumbarton on an emergency loan deal, following in the footsteps of Rangers teammate Ross McCrorie, who spent part of the 2016-17 campaign in West Dumbartonshire.
Wilson has only played two times for Rangers so far, with both of those appearances arriving under Pedro Caixinha at the end of last season.
And with fellow defenders Bruno Alves and McCrorie due to return to contention over the course of the next few weeks, as confirmed by Graeme Murty at a press conference on Friday, Rangers can perhaps afford to part with Wilson for the time being.
That is not to say, however, that Wilson cannot make an impact at Ibrox later down the line.
Here is what Rangers fans are saying on Twitter about the 19-year-old’s move…
