Rangers have confirmed a sixth successive season ticket sell-out as the Gers prepare for the club’s first title defence in a decade – and fans on Twitter have been blown away by the loyalty shown towards Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Ibrox giants confirmed the sell-out on their official website this morning with 45,000 tickets sold more than a month before the new season gets underway.
Fans have snapped up tickets for the new season in their droves, including 1000 MyGers members who have bought new tickets after being on the waiting list previously.
What makes the support even more remarkable is that Rangers fans, like most others, haven’t been inside a game since March 2020.
After missing out on seeing Steven Gerrard’s side in person as they romped to the title, Rangers fans are desperate to get a glimpse of the champions next season – although it will likely be some time before all 45,000 are inside Ibrox at the same time.
The incredible loyalty shown by Rangers fans to sell out season tickets six seasons in a row is something that Gers fans take great pride in, with one saying they are “like no other in world football.”
