The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard made Coulibaly one of his first signings at Ibrox.

Lassana Coulibaly has found a new temporary employer after leaving Rangers this summer.
Coulibaly was one of Steven Gerrard’s first signings as Rangers manager, and went on to spend the whole of last season on loan at Ibrox.
But despite having established himself as a regular early on, the Malian midfielder soon fell out of favour at Rangers and even appeared for the Gers’ second string on a couple of occasions.
And having returned to his parent club Angers at the end of last term, Coulibaly has since been handed a fresh opportunity to impress at the Belgian side, Cercle Brugge.
The 23-year-old moves from France on another campaign-long deal – and he appears to have the backing of several of the fans he left behind at Rangers.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
Coulibaly’s position is one in which Rangers have recruited heavily in the summer transfer window, with Steven Davis, Joe Aribo and Andy King added to an already-strong set of options.
Rangers fans – was Coulibaly given enough of a chance at Ibrox?
