Glasgow Rangers midfielder Jordan Rossiter is attracting attention away from Ibrox.

Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports that came out of the Daily Record on Tuesday which suggested that League One leaders Wigan Athletic are keen to sign Jordan Rossiter this month.

Rossiter has endured a difficult spell since arriving at Ibrox from Liverpool in 2016. He has only been able to make a handful of appearances for the Gers since then with injuries plaguing his time with the club to date.

He is now back in full training, but there appears to be the slightest possibility that his substitute appearance in the win over Ross County back in August may prove to be his final game for Rangers.

The Record suggests that Wigan are eyeing up a move for the central midfielder as the Latics look for the signings that are going to ensure that they capitalise on their current position in League One and secure promotion to the Championship.

Interestingly, the news has received a mixed reaction amongst Rangers fans on Twitter. Given how little he has played, it will probably come as no surprise that some Gers supporters will not be overly disappointed if he does leave as there are concerns about whether he will ever be able to realise his full potential.

However, there is also a number of fans who wish to see the midfielder retained this month. There is a feeling that he has a huge amount of potential and given that he signed at the end of his contract with the Reds, it seems to be not much of a gamble to keep hold of him in the hope that he can put his injury woes behind him.

Here is the best of the reaction…
