The Rangers midfielder was making his first appearance under Steven Gerrard, his former teammate, at Ibrox.

Jordan Rossiter made his latest injury comeback as Rangers beat Ayr United 4-0 at Ibrox on Wednesday.
Signed in 2016 from Liverpool, Rossiter has only appeared 12 times in Rangers colours due to various ailments.
To be fair to the 21-year-old, he showed no fear in a 34 minute cameo against the Scottish Championship side – something that is both good and bad according to Rangers fans on Twitter.
This is what they’re saying…
By the time of Rossiter’s arrival, as Graeme Dorrans’ replacement in the 56th minute, Rangers were already three goals up courtesy of Nikola Katic, Glenn Middleton and Alfredo Morelos, before Middleton scored again a quarter of an hour later.
The Liverpudlian was making his first appearance under Steven Gerrard, the Ibrox boss he was for a long time tipped to succeed at Anfield.
How does a fit Jordan Rossiter fit into Rangers’ plans?
