Rangers fans react as James Tavernier posts wordless tweet

What a massive role James Tavernier has played in Rangers’ success this season.

Under Steven Gerrard, Rangers have won the Scottish Premiership title for the very first time in a decade.

In fact, to make it a little sweeter, the Gers have absolutely steamrollered Old Firm rivals Celtic who, before a ball was kicked, were going for 10 titles in a row.

But Rangers, who are 23 points clear of Celtic in the Premiership standings, refused to let their neighbours make history,

Tavernier has been a wonderful skipper and has been a revelation on the football side of things too, scoring 18 goals and setting up 15 in all competitions from right-back.

On Twitter today, the 29-year-old defender, brought to Ibrox by Mark Warburton in 2015, posted a wordless tweet that just contained an image of a banner which read ‘We are Champions – Kings of Scotland’.
