Aston Villa, Barnsley, Derby County, Bristol City and Reading were reportedly watching Rangers’ Alfredo Morelos on Friday.

Rangers fans would have known this day would come. However, after just nine appearances for the Ibrox giants, speculation surrounding the future of summer signing Alfredo Morelos has started quicker than anyone might have expected.
The Colombian, signed from Finnish side HJK Helsinki this summer for just £1 million, took his burgeoning tally to eight in nine games for Rangers when he found the net in Friday’s 2-2 draw with Partick Thistle – in front of scouts from five Championship clubs, according to The Scotsman.
The report claims that Aston Villa, Barnsley, Bristol City, Derby County and Reading were all watching Morelos.

And it seems as if we could be about to embark on another prolonged period of speculation surrounding the future of a young striker earning rave reviews in Glasgow. After all, barely a day has gone by in the last year without Celtic’s 21-year-old goal machine Moussa Dembele being linked with a big money move elesehwere.
Morelos’ first few weeks as a Rangers player certainly suggest he could be just as influential as his fellow goal-poacher from the other side of the city.
Though, having only moved to Ibrox a few weeks ago, it is distinctly unlikely that Rangers will entertain any interest in a player who could be their most inspired signing in years.
