Gilmour left Rangers in the summer of 2017 to join Chelsea.

Billy Gilmour put Wales to the sword on Wednesday night as he scored both of Scotland Under-19’s goals to boost their chances of European qualification with a 2-1 win over the Welsh – and Rangers fans have reacted on Twitter.
The 17-year-old midfielder left Rangers in the summer of 2017 to move south and join Premier League heavyweights Chelsea, where he has continued his rapid progression in the club’s reserve side.
Despite still only being 17, the midfielder has netted six goals in 13 games this season – including three in nine Premier League 2 appearances from deep. He has also laid on four goals.
Gilmour has already won eight Scotland under-21 caps, but was used by the Under-19’s side on Wednesday to boost Scotland’s chances of qualification and he did just that – scoring twice.

He linked up with Rangers stars Glenn Middleton, Dapo Mebude, Matthew Shiels, Jordan Houston, Stephen Kelly and Zak Rudden, as Billy Stark’s young players earned a crucial victory away from home.
Rangers fans reacted to Gilmour’s Tweet after the match, applauding their former star while some bemoaned his exit to Chelsea where he has a contract until the summer of 2021.
