Rangers fans react after Ryan Hardie leaves Ibrox on permanent deal

Ryan Hardie’s Rangers exit has left a number of Gers fans disappointed.

A lifelong Rangers supporter, Hardie spent the best the best part of a decade on the books at Ibrox, before his transfer to Blackpool on Wednesday.

It was initially unclear as to whether the striker’s move would be temporary or permanent.

But the English club have since announced Hardie’s signing on a two-year deal – which contains a 12-month option and will see Rangers net an undisclosed fee.

Hardie made his Rangers debut in a League Cup tie against Falkirk five years ago, aged just 17.

But he has only appeared 16 times since then, enjoying loan spells at Raith Rovers, St Mirren and Livingston.

And according to some of a Rangers persuasion, that wasn’t enough.

Hardie will join his former Rangers teammate Jordan Thompson at Blackpool.

Thompson signed for the Seasiders upon his release by the Gers at the end of 2017-18.
