The Rangers defender was one of Steven Gerrard’s first signings at Ibrox.

Rangers fans are reacting after Nikola Katic was dropped to the Ibrox side’s reserves.
A £2 million summer recruit, Katic last appeared for Rangers’ first team more than a month ago – starting but not finishing the 7-1 win against Motherwell on November 11.
Seven games have passed since then in league and cup, in which the Croatian has been involved in just two of Steven Gerrard’s 18s amid, albeit unverified, rumours he is experiencing personal problems.
But he was back in action at Hearts on Monday, where Graeme Murty’s patched-up side – which also included Jordan Rossiter – suffered a 2-1 defeat.
And this is what those of a Gers persuasion are saying on Twitter…
“@Cjnovo992 seriously worried for katic , **** knows where he’s been not even on the bench for some games but last time he played we won 7-1″
Harris O’Connor’s own goal gave Hearts’ reserves the lead against Rangers, who equalised through Andy Dallas.
But the hosts snatched the win courtesy of Euan Henderson’s late strike, which came with Katic and Rossiter off the field.
