Rangers fans are reacting after Michael O’Halloran completed a return to Scottish football seven months after he was allowed to leave Ibrox.
The Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, sanctioned O’Halloran’s move to Melbourne City shortly after his own arrival in Glasgow.
But City released him earlier this month, after just three appearances totalling 78 minutes of football, and he has since rejoined St Johnstone – the club that sold him to Rangers in January 2016.
The 28-year-old was never truly popular at Ibrox, however, while his affinity with the Gers’ rivals, Celitc, only made things worse.

O’Halloran played 38 times for Rangers, for whom he scored or made just nine goals.
The Glasgwegian fared somewhat better at St Johnstone, however, scoring or making 39 goals in 108 appearances.
This will be his third spell at McDairmaid Park, having also played for the Saints on loan from Rangers last season.
He is in line for an Ibrox return with his new employers as early as February 16.
