The Rangers striker has claimed that his Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard is delighted with his progress.

Rangers fans are reacting on Twitter after Jermain Defoe expressed a desire to stay at Ibrox beyond the end of the current campaign.
Defoe joined Rangers on an 18-month loan from AFC Bournemouth in the January transfer window, and has scored or made 27 goals in 34 games for Steven Gerrard’s side.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Thursday, the 37-year-old claimed that Gerrard is delighted with not only the way he has been playing but the way he has interacted with his teammates, too, including those a lot younger than himself.
And he is hoping that at some point ‘something will happen’ regarding his longer-term future at Rangers.

Naturally, his comments appear to have been well received by those of a Rangers persuasion.
This is what they are saying in response…
Before linking up at Rangers, Defoe and Gerrard were teammates in the England national team.
In total Defoe has scored more than 300 career goals for various clubs – notably West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur – and country.
Are there any Rangers fans who don’t want Defoe to stay?
