The Rangers goalkeeper has been his country’s first choice of late, despite remaining down the Ibrox pecking order since Steven Gerrard’s arrival.

Not even an international break can interrupt the rivalry between Glasgow giants Rangers and Celtic.
It seems there is always something for Rangers and Celtic fans to disagree on – the latest issue being that of Ross Doohan’s performance for Scotland’s Under-21s against England’s on Tuesday.
Doohan, the Celtic-owned goalkeeper, replaced Robby McCrorie of Rangers for the Murrayfield encounter, which Scotland lost by two goals to nil.
And it was perhaps little surprise to see Rangers fans pounce on even the slightest of perceived flaws exposed by Doohan.
Nevertheless, there are others who thought differently about the Celtic academy product’s display.
Doohan-McCrorie is of course not the only Celtic vs Rangers goalkeeping battle in Scotland’s ranks, with the respective Bhoys and Gers shot-stoppers Craig Gordon and Allan McGregor currently going toe-to-toe to be Alex McLeish’s number one.
McGregor and McCrorie or Doohan and Gordon? Do Celtic or Rangers boast Scotland’s best options in goal?
