According to reports from both the Daily Mail and The Sun, Rangers playmaker Niko Kranjcar will miss the rest of the season having suffered a torn cruciate knee ligament.
Kranjcar, 32, was one of Rangers’ biggest signings of the summer having built an impressive reputation for himself in the Premier League with Portsmouth, Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers.

The Croatian playmaker was playing in the United States for New York Cosmos before penning a two-year deal with Rangers back in June.
Kranjcar started his Ibrox career slowly as he struggled for form and fitness, but has recently kicked on and impressed, particularly against Partick Thistle earlier this month.

Now though, Kranjcar may have kicked his final ball this season, as the Daily Mail and The Sun both report that Kranjcar suffered a freak training ground injury, which looks set to keep him out for the rest of the campaign.
Kranjcar’s injury is believed to be a torn cruciate knee ligament, leaving Rangers with a major hole in midfield – and fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the injury.

Some Rangers fans moved to question the club’s summer transfer business, as not only is Kranjcar now out, but Joey Barton is suspended, and other summer signings like Philippe Senderos, Matt Crooks, Jordan Rossiter and Joe Garner have yet to have the desired impact.
Others suggested that this season has been a nightmare for Rangers so far, and they have absolutely no luck after losing Kranjcar just as he was starting to play his best football for the club.
