Rangers fans are relieved Derek McInnes turned down chance to become manager at Ibrox.

The lowest point of Rangers’ season might just be turning into a big positive.
After nearly two months of searching for a new manager the Gers were rejected by top target Derek McInnes, who elected to stay with Aberdeen.
So far nothing McInnes has done since has led Rangers to feel like they missed out.
Rangers are moving upwards under manager Graeme Murty, while McInnes just cannot manage to find a way to solve his problems at Aberdeen.
For all the progress he has made at the Dons, he has been haunted by the relentless success of Celtic.

In 10 matches as Aberdeen against Celtic he has lost all 10, with the latest being a 2-0 home loss yesterday.
It is not good enough not to be laying a glove on their opponents, and the weekend’s performance was extra disappointing considering Celtic should have been vulnerable after flying back from Russia on Thursday night tired and deflated after their Europa League elimination.
Murty has led Rangers to three wins over McInnes this season and fans of the Light Blues are convinced they are better off without him.
Rangers are desperate to defeat Celtic themselves, and McInnes has shown an inability to do just that.
