Rangers have their new managers secured after appointing Giovanni van Bronckhorst on Thursday – and it looks like Roy Makaay is joining him at Ibrox.
After the shock departure of Steven Gerrard to Aston Villa last week, Rangers needed to move quickly in order to find a replacement.
The hot name in the mix for the job from minute one was Van Bronckhorst, who played for Rangers between 1998 and 2001.
Gerrard took most of his coaching staff to Villa with him, so Van Bronckhorst now needs to bring coaches to Ibrox.
De Telegraaf in the Netherlands claim that Roy Makaay is making the move to Glasgow, joining Van Bronckhorst at Rangers.
With Jean-Paul van Gastel unavailable right now, Makaay is being brought in to assist Van Bronckhorst.
Makaay and Van Bronckhorst played together for the Netherlands before joining Feyenoord together in 2007.

Makaay was then on Van Bronckhorst’s coaching team at Feyenoord, working with the youth setup and then the first team.
With Makaay heading to Rangers, Gers fans have been taking to Twitter to share their views on the move.
Some think that Makaay will have a huge impact on Alfredo Morelos in terms of making him more clinical.
Others are ‘buzzing’ with Makaay’s imminent arrival, believing that Van Bronckhorst is making a ‘superb’ move.
