Glasgow Rangers ended the season in speculator fashion with the Ibrox side playing out a 5-5 draw.

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to laud Jordan Rossiter after the midfielder put in a fantastic performance as the Gers ended the Scottish Premiership season in quite incredible fashion by drawing 5-5.

Rossiter has endured a miserable time with injuries since arriving from Liverpool in 2016. His last appearance for the Light Blues came back in August, and the Rangers fans would have been forgiven for almost giving up on the idea of the 21-year-old realising his potential at Ibrox.

He has spent a number of weeks playing for the development side and finally got his chance in the first-team on Sunday with Ross McCrorie suspended and Graham Dorrans injured for the trip to Easter Road. It appeared however, that it was going to be a nightmare afternoon for the youngster.

Hibs took a 3-0 lead in the early stages and Rangers appeared stunned. But an incredible comeback then saw the Gers move 5-3 in front heading into the final stages, with Rossiter amongst those to find the back of the net. His goal – Rangers’ second – saw the midfielder show the composure of a striker to tuck the ball home, and would have reminded the fans of his quality.

Steven Gerrard is unveiled as the new manager of Rangers football Club at Ibrox Stadium on May 4, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Hibs would score twice to ensure that the points would be shared, and there was concern for Rossiter as he had to be taken off due to injury during the latter stages after a heavy challenge from Scott Allan during the first-half which left many fans suggesting that the on-loan Celtic ace should have been sent off.

Rossiter’s performance left a number of fans extremely excited about his future at the club. Several fans on social media suggested that he is a future captain of the club – one of the defining images from the game came when he was walking off injured but continued to rally the troops as they looked to hold out for a win.

The fans are optimistic that Steven Gerrard may be the perfect manager to get the best out of the young midfielder when he does arrive in the summer, especially after his superb display against Neil Lennon’s side.
