Glasgow Rangers fans were impressed by Harry Cochrane’s display, with some asking the Ibrox club to look to bring the midfielder back.

Gary Naysmith was the last Hearts player to win the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award, back in 1997-98. Almost two decades on, it would be absolutely no surprise if the award headed back to Tynecastle later this year and was given to a 16-year-old whose reputation appears to be enhanced with every single appearance he makes.
Harry Cochrane is clearly a star of the future, but given some of his performances this term, he is also becoming a player that Craig Levein may struggle to justify leaving out of his side at any stage.

Last month, the teenager was exceptional as Hearts tore Celtic apart and ended their unbeaten domestic run in emphatic fashion, and now he has stepped up with another excellent performance on the big stage.
The last time Hearts beat Hibs in any competition, Cochrane was just 13. But the midfielder proved instrumental in helping his side win the Edinburgh derby on Sunday, keeping John McGinn – who has been one of the Scottish Premiership’s most impressive players this season – quiet throughout the game as the home side ran out 1-0 winners.

Cochrane’s performance has attracted plenty of attention from Rangers fans. The teenager was on the Ibrox books before being released and moving to Hearts and many of the supporters could not help but express their admiration for his derby display and their disappointment that the Gers let him go when he was younger.
There have also been some supporters who have urged the club to try and make a move for the youngster in the near future as it is becoming abundantly clear that he has the potential to become a very special player indeed.
Here is the best of the reaction…
