The Gers revealed that they had sold all of their season tickets for a third successive year.
This is particularly impressive on this occasion because Rangers fans don’t know when they will be permitted to begin attending Ibrox again.
The global health emergency has wreaked havoc on football clubs’ finances, with a lack of a match-day revenue seriously affecting every team.
And Rangers’ managing director couldn’t speak highly enough about the Ibrox faithful.
He said to the club’s official website: “I have been continually astonished by the passion and loyalty that our supporters show our club. Time and again, our supporters surpass expectations, may that be for retail purchases, MyGers or now, season tickets.
“In the midst of the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, selling out season tickets at Ibrox is even more special. As we approach our 150th year, Rangers fans demonstrate their unrivalled loyalty to our club once again.”
This is indeed quite a special feat by the Rangers supporters.
This season, they have the chance to stop Celtic from winning 10 Premiership titles in a row, so of course they’re going to want to be as close to the action as possible.
Steven Gerrard’s side are top of the Premiership and six points clear of the Hoops, though Celtic have two games in hand.
