The Glasgow Rangers winger and Ibrox academy ace, 17, was deemed ‘electric’, ‘tremendous’ and ‘an absolute standout’.

A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have been raving on Twitter about the display of Ibrox academy ace Kai Kennedy in Wednesday night’s UEFA Youth League second round first leg, which Rangers Under-19s won 2-0.
The 17-year-old winger put in a superb performance for Graeme Murty’s side against Slovan Bratislava, tirelessly covering every blade of grass and popping up time and time again with deliveries and passes for his teammates and also efforts of his own.
Kennedy played a crucial role in both goals, his effort in the 28th minute being parried by goalkeeper Martin Trnovsky into the path of Dapo Mebude, who duly struck on the rebound for the opener, before crossing for Nathan Young-Coombes to bundle home seven minutes after the restart.
Plenty of Rangers fans loved the youngster’s performance at Firhill and duly praised his efforts on social media:
Rangers U19s will contest the second leg in Slovakia in three weeks’ time, while the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup quarter-final against Wrexham has been confirmed to go ahead at Ibrox Stadium next Saturday at 3pm (Rangers website).
