Rangers have completed the signing of Young-Coombes from Chelsea.

Rangers have completed the signing of 16-year-old wonderkid Nathan Young-Coombes from Chelsea – and fans of the Teddy Bears are delighted to see the club land the exciting youngster.
Still only 16 years of age, Young-Coombes was highly rated at Chelsea after the west Londoners lured the England Under-15 international from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2017.
Young-Coombes is a striker, and is expected to join Rangers Under-18 squad rather than being involved with Steven Gerrard’s first team which boasts Jermain Defoe, Kyle Lafferty and Alfredo Morelos.
Rangers’ official youth team Twitter page posted on Friday morning that Rangers had completed the signing of the impressive youngster, with Young-Coombes signing a two-and-a-half-year deal until the summer of 2021.
Rangers have brought in Steven Davis, Jermain Defoe, Andy Firth, Matt Polster and then Glen Kamara on deadline day, after the ex-Dundee midfielder had signed a pre-contract – which was made permanent on Thursday.
Chelsea raided Rangers in 2017 for midfielder Billy Gilmour, with the Scot since impressing and becoming a constant fixture in the club’s reserve side despite still being 17 years of age.
