Rangers have brought in Giovanni van Bronckhorst as their new manager – and it sounds like Ajax youth coach Dave Vos is heading to Ibrox too.

Rangers were left stunned over the international break as Steven Gerrard left the club for a move to Aston Villa.

Ross Wilson and co had to move quickly for a replacement and found one in ex-Rangers player Van Bronckhorst.

Given that Gerrard took his coaching staff to Villa, Van Bronckhorst has been build his own coaching team.

Roy Makaay, Arno Philips and Yori Bosschaart have all come in, and Vos is Ibrox-bound too.

Ajax coach Vos set to join Van Bronckhorst

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf report that Ajax Under-18 coach Dave Vos is leaving Amsterdam for Glasgow.

Vos will allegedly become an assistant to Van Bronckhorst having told his players he is departing for Rangers.

The 38-year-old has been a youth coach at Ajax for 10 years.

Vos has helped develop the likes of Sven Botman, Sergino Dest, Jurrien Timber, Ryan Gravenberch, Brian Brobbey and Noa Lang.

A highly-respected coach in the Netherlands, Vos appears to be a major coup for Rangers.
