Glasgow Rangers U19s were dominant last night and the Ibrox academy ace had a great game.
A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have been commenting on Twitter about the bright display of Ibrox academy ace Dapo Mebude in Wednesday night’s UEFA Youth League second round first leg, which Rangers U19s won 2-0.
The 18-year-old was a constant threat towards Slovan Bratislava’s U19s and got the opening goal for Graeme Murty’s side in the 28th minute, converting on the rebound after Kai Kennedy’s effort was parried into his path by goalkeeper Martin Trnovsky.
The clincher eventually came in the second half when Nathan Young-Coombes got his head to the ball and steered it off the underside of the bar and over the line, while Mebude continued to cause trouble drifting in from the left wing and could have had more goals.

Rangers U19s will contest the second leg in Slovakia in three weeks’ time, while the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup quarter-final against Wrexham has been confirmed to go ahead at Ibrox Stadium next Saturday at 3pm (Rangers website).
