Former striker Kyle Lafferty expressed his regret at leaving Glasgow Rangers and suggested that he would like to return to Ibrox.

Rangers supporters have been left completely divided following Kyle Lafferty’s recent comments in the Daily Record where the striker reaffirmed his desire to come back to Ibrox in the future.
Lafferty left the Gers in acrimonious circumstances back in 2012, adding his name to the number of players who decided against transferring his contract following their demotion to the bottom tier.
However, he has now told the Daily Record that he would never shut the door on the chance to come back to Rangers, and that has left Light Blues fans with plenty to ponder.
On the one hand, a number of fans seem to be open to the idea of having the Northern Ireland international back at the club given the quality of their current crop of strikers – 37-year-old Kenny Miller remains their leading goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership with 10 goals to his name – and the fact that Lafferty will be available on a free transfer this summer (via Record).

However, the idea of seeing the forward back at the club has also led to plenty of negative responses from the supporters, with many questioning the striker’s attitude while others just seem to be completely uninspired at the prospect.
That is surely understandable given that he boasts a very disappointing record in club football since leaving Ibrox, with his most prolific season coming in 2013/14 when he scored just 11 league goals.

Here is the best of the reaction…
