Rangers beat Livingston 3-0 at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
Rangers were back in action on Saturday afternoon after the international break, and claimed a convincing 3-0 win over Livingston at Ibrox.
The Gers were looking to build on a 7-1 thrashing of Motherwell before the break, and did so in style as they moved up to second in the Scottish Premiership table.
Daniel Candeias headed home a first half corner to put Rangers in front, but they had to wait over an hour before Alfredo Morelos made it 2-0 in the 83rd minute.
Midfielder Scott Arfield rounded off the scoring with a third five minutes later, handing Rangers three points and a clean sheet in a successful day all round.
A key part of that clean sheet was defender Gareth McAuley, who was handed a first start for the club having made two substitute appearances before the international break.
The 38-year-old joined boyhood club Rangers on a free transfer in September, with Steven Gerrard opting to allow him to raise his fitness levels – and he certainly impressed on Saturday.
The veteran defender was called ‘outstanding’ and ‘solid as a rock’, with many even comparing him to Ibrox hero David Weir, providing an experienced, wily head in the heart of the Rangers defence.
