Alves was Caixinha’s first Rangers recruit but is the last to link up with his new Ibrox teammates.
Bruno Alves officially began life as a Rangers player on Monday, having taken part in a Light Blues training session for the first time since signing for the club in May.
Alves is the last of Rangers’ summer recruits to arrive in Glasgow, due to his participation in this summer’s Confederations Cup in Russia.

The vastly experienced Portugal international helped his country to a third-placed finish, having lost to Chile on penalties at the semi-final stage.
And he is very much the one the Rangers fans have been waiting for, not least with their side embarrassingly knocked out of Europe at the very first hurdle in his absence.
Alves, who turns 36 later this year, is by far the most decorated player at Pedro Caixinha’s disposal, having won 12 major trophies across spells at FC Porto, Zenit St Petersburg and Fenerbahce.
And many Rangers fans are already calling on Caixinha to install the central defender as captain at the expense of long-serving Ibrox left-back Lee Wallace.
Should Rangers install Alves as captain this season?
