Fans of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers reckon Steven Gerrard may bring Peter Crouch to the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers fans on Twitter believe that Peter Crouch could join new manager Steven Gerrard at Ibrox this summer.
The towering striker might just be available for transfer in the coming months after Stoke City were relegated from the Premier League on Saturday.
Crouch told Sky Sports prior to the relegation that he did not know what the future held for him if the Championship loomed, with the 37-year-old contracted to City until 2019.
Gerrard, who was appointed Rangers boss on a four-year deal last week, played alongside the former England international for three years at Liverpool.
And fans of the Ibrox club reckon that the well-travelled Crouch might be heading for the Gers as his next destination.
The Daily Mail reported on the weekend that Rangers were in the market for a “marquee striker” and although Crouch is certainly a big name – and literally a big player – he probably wouldn’t send the fanbase into meltdown.
He could do a very decent job with Gerrard in Glasgow but, at 37, for how long?
He is earning around £36,000 per week on the Potteries for now [Silly Season].
