Rangers narrowly beat Livingston 1-0 on Wednesday night.

Rangers are into the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup after beating Livingston 1-0 away from home last night.
The Gers were beaten by Aberdeen in the semi-finals of last season’s competition, and Steven Gerrard will have been desperate to go further than that this time around.
He’s at least matched last year’s finish, as Rangers beat Livingston 1-0 in the quarter-finals last night thanks to midfielder Glen Kamara’s early deflected strike.
Rangers fans will have expected to see their side really kick on and rack up a convincing win, but they were a little shaky in the second half and lost control of the game.
Defender Filip Helander was at the centre of controversy as he brought down Lyndon Dykes on his way to goal, which the referee waved away, but could easily have resulted in a red card.
That kind of summed up Helander’s night, as the Swede looked unconvincing against Dykes and the Livi attack, just a week after bossing the Feyenoord game.

Dykes often beat him in the air, and whilst Rangers managed to hang on for the win, recent signing Helander has been slammed by Gers fans on Twitter.
Some supporters compared him to Joe Worrall and Rob Kiernan, suggesting that Helander was a ‘bomb scare’ and ‘brutal’, with many feeling unconvinced by him so far and want Nikola Katic back in the Rangers defence as soon as possible.
