Rangers got back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon, beating Livingston 3-1 at Ibrox in a somewhat unconvincing performance.

The Gers lost 2-0 to Celtic before the international break, and needed to show an immediate response in order to get back on track.

However, they were a little disappointing against Livi, and having shown a real susceptibility to set pieces, they conceded a penalty from one – and Steven Lawless scored from the spot.

Rangers had to hit back, and James Tavernier’s free kick levelled the score before Alfredo Morelos put the Gers in front, and Livi striker Lyndon Dykes was sent off.

Winger Brandon Barker – who came on as a first-half substitute for injured new signing Ryan Kent – added a third late on, handing Rangers the win they needed.

It wasn’t vintage Rangers though, and Steven Gerrard will absolutely want better from his side moving forward, with some players criticised after the full-time whistle.

Defender Nikola Katic was one of those players, with fans taking to Twitter to suggest that the £2million signing from Slaven Belupo last summer (Sky Sports) was ‘shocking’ and ‘beyond bad’.

Others think that Katic will now be dropped as a result of his performance, feeling that it’s time for Filip Helander to get a start, adding that it was the Croatian’s worst performance in some time.
