Glasgow Rangers forward Andrew Dallas has taken to Twitter to celebrate the Ibrox reserve side’s SPFL Reserve League title at the expense of Celtic and Hibernian.
The 19-year-old scored a brace for Graeme Murty’s side on Monday as they ran out 3-1 winners away at Falkirk, which meant their Old Firm rivals were pipped to the title on goal difference.
The Hoops had beaten St Johnstone 3-2 to sit alongside Rangers on 38 points from 17 games, but Murty’s charges finished the campaign four goals better off, while Hibs could only have won if both the Old Firm sides had lost.
Rangers fell behind at Falkirk after Nikolay Todorov finished off a Bairns counter-attack but they equalised through Rhys Breen’s header after Stephen Kelly whipped a free kick to the back post.
With five minutes until the break, a corner from Kelly was met by Breen at the back-post, and he managed to get the ball across goal for Dallas, who duly forced it over the line despite Robbie Mutch’s best efforts.
Rangers finally killed off the game with just a few minutes until full time when Josh McPake was brought down by Scott Reekie in the area and Dallas stepped up to fire a penalty high into the net.

Dallas recently signed a new contract with Rangers and spoke of how he is eager to follow in the footsteps of Alfredo Morelos, watching him in training and picking up tips (Evening Times).
“Even getting to train alongside him, I watch him and see how he goes about his business,” he told the outlet. “I base my game around aggression, power and pace and getting off the last line of the defenders, so I am taking notes from Alfredo… getting round there and seeing him up close is really benefitting me.”
