Rangers fans have responded to Celtic’s official statement on Twitter regarding no punishment handed to Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos.

As reported on BBC Sport this week, Rangers striker Morelos will not face any disciplinary action for his behaviour against Celtic in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox last weekend.

The Colombia international striker was accused of aiming a kick at Celtic midfielder Scott Brown during the match, and the 22-year-old also seemed to catch Anthony Ralston and grab at Ryan Christie.

No retrospective action has been taken, as match referee John Beaton saw all the aforementioned incidents, and Celtic are not pleased.

Celtic have released a lengthy statement on their official website and are not happy with the situation at all.

Rangers fans and former Celtic striker Chris Sutton have responded to Celtic’s statement on Twitter.

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 42 points from 20 matches, level on points with second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers, who have played 21 games.

There is a real title race on in the Scottish Premiership this season.
