Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst was introduced to the public on Monday – and took the time to greet one Gers fan.
After Steven Gerrard’s exit to Aston Villa, Rangers had to move quickly for a replacement.
Just a week on from Gerrard’s departure, Rangers got their man.
In came Van Bronckhorst, making his big return to Ibrox having played for Rangers between 1998 and 2001.
The move has been met with joy from Rangers fans, who are loving having Van Bronckhorst back at Ibrox.
The Dutchman said all the right things in his press conference, and has now been praised by Michael Beale.
Beale was a key part of Gerrard’s coaching staff at Rangers, but has now followed him to Villa.
Beale is still taking a keen interest in Rangers though, and one moment caught his eye.
As Van Bronckhorst arrived at Ibrox for his official presentation, he stopped for a chat and a photo with young Rangers fan James Laird.
Laird suffers from Lesch Nyhan syndrome and enjoyed a similar moment with Pedro Caixinha back in 2017.
It’s always great when managers take the time to focus on fans, and Beale took to Twitter to call the moment with Van Bronckhorst ‘fantastic’.
