Rangers fan Harry Cochrane comments on playing at Ibrox

Glasgow Rangers fan Harry Cochrane suggested that Ibrox was the best ground that he has played at.

Harry Cochrane has told The Scottish Sun that having grown up as a Rangers fan, playing at Ibrox for Hearts saw him realise a dream – even if the result was a disappointment.

Cochrane is one of the most exciting talents in the Scottish Premiership. The 17-year-old continues to impress and threaten to establish himself as an important player in the Jambos’ midfield.

He has played at Ibrox before, but did not feature in Craig Levein’s side’s most recent trip to the ground. It was a good day for Rangers as goals from Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos and Scott Arfield helped Steven Gerrard’s side on their way to a 3-1 win.

But it turns out that it was also an occasion that stuck in Cochrane’s mind for positive reasons as he was asked to name the best ground he has played at during his short career.

“It has to be Ibrox. Growing up a Rangers fan, it was always a dream of mine to play there one day,” he told The Scottish Sun.

“The atmosphere was amazing when I went there with Hearts recently. It was just a pity we didn’t win.”

As Cochrane continues to develop, some Rangers fans would be forgiven for wondering what could have been. He was on the club’s books a few years ago and looks destined to develop into a special player.

He is not featuring much at the moment, but he is clearly a player to keep an eye on for the future. And it would probably not be a surprise if Rangers one day consider a transfer that would see Cochrane get to play at Ibrox on a regular basis.
