Glasgow Rangers were outstanding at Ibrox as they won the latest Old Firm clash on Sunday.
Rangers supporter George Byers took to Twitter to laud Scott Arfield’s performance during the Gers’ superb Old Firm victory over Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday.
Steven Gerrard has now taken two wins from two Old Firm games at Ibrox, as goals from James Tavernier and Arfield himself ensured that the Light Blues secured the bragging rights on the penultimate day of the season.
Celtic had some bright moments, particularly during the latter stages of the second-half. But they asked so few questions of Rangers, and the home side were totally comfortable in what Gerrard will be hoping is a warning ahead of next season.
There were a number of standout performers amongst the Rangers squad, but Swansea City midfielder Byers suggested that one in particular was integral to the Gers’ victory.

Arfield was superb in the middle of the park. Glen Kamara may have been the player that did the most to keep Scott Brown out of the game, but the Canada international also came out on the top in the latest instalment in their own personal battle.
And he continued to show that his partnership with Jermain Defoe could be something to look out for next season as it was the striker’s delicious dummy that led to Kamara’s pass finding its way through the Celtic defence and into Arfield’s path before he slid the ball past Scott Bain.
