Steven Gerrard’s men will travel to Belgium in February

Rangers will face Royal Antwerp in the next round of the Europa League.
A superb run of four victories and two draws saw Steven Gerrard’s men top Group D with a tally of 14 points, pipping Benfica to first place while knocking out Standard Liege and Lech Poznan.
That means Gerrard has now registered 22 European victories since taking charge of Rangers in 2018, just one shy of Walter Smith’s record. He’ll be aiming to surpass the Ibrox legend’s figure when his team return to European action in February.
A 4-2 aggregate victory over Braga saw Rangers reach the final 16 last season, where they were knocked out by Bayer Leverkusen. The two legs of that tie were played nearly five months apart due to the shutdown.

If Gerrard’s men are to reach that stage again they’ll need to get past Ivan Leko’s Belgian side.
The draw was made in Nyon this afternoon and saw Gerrard’s men paired with the team sitting seventh in Belgium’s top flight. Antwerp are currently one place above Rangers’ Group D rivals Standard Liege.
They finished one point behind Spurs in Group J, winning four and losing twice. Leko’s side sprung a surprise in October with a 1-0 win against Jose Mourinho’s men.
The first leg will be played in Belgium on February 18, with the return at Ibrox on February 25.
