Rangers were linked with Evander but the Midtjylland playmaker looks set to be heading to Major League Soccer with Portland Timbers.
The Gers were busy over the summer window but it looks like it wasn’t nearly enough.
A number of Ross Wilson’s summer signings have been injury prone, inconsistent or barely seen in the case of Ridvan Yilmaz.
Wilson is rightly under enormous pressure and he needs a big January window to get Rangers back on track and ultimately save his job.

Rangers were linked with Evander
Malik Tillman has shown some promising signs but Rangers may still need another attack-minded midfielder moving forward.
One name mentioned over the summer was Midtjylland playmaker Evander.
The Daily Record reported over the summer that Rangers were eyeing up Evander for a potential move to Ibrox.
No summer move materialised – and The Scottish Daily Express suggested that Evander wasn’t a top target anyway – but you can understand why Rangers may have been interested.
Evander has bagged seven goals and four assists in 19 appearances across all competitions for Midtjylland this season.
17 goals and 11 assists last season summed up Evander’s quality and he now looks set for a big transfer.
Evander’s next club seemingly won’t be Rangers though with the Brazilian ace heading for Major League Soccer.
The Athletic’s Tom Bogert reports that Portland Timbers have a deal ‘all but done’ for Evander to join.
A medical and final details are still needed but Evander is expected to complete a move to Portland in January.
The fee is believed to be around $10million (£8.5million) and the Timbers are on the verge of an enormous coup.
That fee may well be beyond Rangers at this point and if Wilson wants to find more creativity in the final third, he will have to find alternative targets to Evander.
