Rangers duo Rob Kiernan and Harry Forrester will reportedly be allowed to leave Ibrox.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers will allow defender Rob Kiernan and playmaker Harry Forrester to leave the club for free this summer.
The Gers are planning a major overhaul of their squad this summer, and with manager Pedro Caixinha looking to bring in a host of new signings, a number of players will also have to leave Ibrox.

The Daily Record claim that eight players have been put on the market to English clubs, with former Mark Warburton signings Rob Kiernan and Harry Forrester allegedly available for nothing.
Defender Kiernan, 26, has featured just once under Caixinha since his appointment having seemingly failed to impress, and the same can be said for 26-year-old playmaker Harry Forrester, who played in Caixinha’s first game but hasn’t been seen since.

Neither appear to have futures at Ibrox, and their availability will raise questions over whether former Rangers boss Warburton will now look to take both players to Nottingham Forest this summer.
Warburton has remarkably worked with both players at three different clubs – Watford, Brentford and Rangers – in various roles, and if anybody knows how to get the best out of all three, it’s Warburton.
Kiernan would offer Warburton another centre back option alongside the likes of Michael Mancienne, Matt Mills and youngster Joe Worrall, with Jack Hobbs still injury-prone and question marks over the futures of Damien Perquis and Thomas Lam.

Kiernan has Championship experience under his belt, but Forrester – who can play out wide or as an attacking midfielder – has only ever made seven Championship appearances, failing to find the net for Doncaster.
Forrester showed flashes of his quality under Warburton, notching eight goals under his stewardship, and whilst he would give Forest a versatile option who knows how Warburton works, there would be questions over whether he could really make the desired impact in the second tier – but on free transfers, Warburton may well consider fourth spells working with the Rangers pair.
