Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers lost against Celtic in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup.

Rangers duo Lee Hodson and James Tavernier have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the defeat to Celtic.

The Gers suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Bhoys in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sunday afternoon.

Moussa Dembele’s goal in the 87th minute proved to be the difference between the two Old Firm rivals.

Rangers defender Hodson started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and the 25-year-old has admitted his disappointment at the final result on Twitter.

Right-back Tavernier also featured for Rangers against Celtic, and the 24-year-old has revealed on Twitter that he is devastated at the defeat.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sunday afternoon, Mark Warburton’s Rangers had 42% of the possession, took eight shots of which three were on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.

Celtic had 58% of the possession, took 24 shots of which eight were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.
