Rangers director of football Ross Wilson has played down interest in Jordon Ibe and Saido Berahino whilst speaking to talkSPORT earlier today.
The Gers have already made one major signing, landing loanee Ianis Hagi on a permanent basis. Still, if Rangers are to stop Celtic’s dominance, they will need more.
Stopping Celtic from landing a tenth league title in a row won’t be easy, and Rangers may need more firepower to challenge for the title.
One player linked recently is Saido Berahino. Both TEAMtalk and Voetbal Nieuws claim that Rangers are showing an interest in the Zulte Waregem striker.
The 26-year-old has been attempting to rebuild his career in Belgium having struggled at Stoke City, and he impressed this season with six goals and three assists in 22 games.
Today, director of football Wilson has been asked about Berahino. Additionally, the name of Jordon Ibe was put forward to him, given that Bournemouth are releasing him.

A former Liverpool teammate of Steven Gerrard, Ibe will be hunting for a new club – and reuniting with Gerrard would make some sense.
Both players were viewed as wonderkids some years ago, but have fallen off the map a little in recent times.
However, Wilson has played down interest in the pair, claiming that many of the rumours surrounding Rangers are false whilst refusing to name who the Gers will target this summer.
“I’m not going to name any names,” said Wilson. “One thing I will say, and I’ve said this since I got here, is I’m always amazed at the amount of names that are linked with Rangers. There’s significantly more names linked with us than any club I’ve ever been involved in before and hardly any of them are ever right so you can take that as you will,” he added.
