Rangers’ pursuit of George Edmundson was not easy.

Rangers finally completed the signing of defender George Edmundson last week.
The Gers were quick to identify Edmundson as a priority transfer target this summer.
His former club Oldham did not make the deal easy.
Rangers had two offers knocked back, and rival interest from English clubs complicated the chase.
And that makes Rangers’ eventual capture of Edmundson so much more impressive.
Other clubs would have walked away, Rangers stuck with it.

Edmundson was unveiled last week, and the timing was key.
He is able to link up with the first team squad early into their pre-season preparations and will be available to feature in the club’s Europa League qualifiers.
Edmundson is a bright young talent, just 21, who can take great confidence from the way Rangers put so much effort into getting his signature over the line.
Now he has to repay their faith.
